Open sky review between US and UK

Another open sky deal will be made, but it will be between the United States and the UK, which is expected to be closed by the end of September.

The aim is to allow aircraft to continue to make transatlantic routes to British destinations after the completion of Brexit: any airline depends on globally recognized regulatory oversight to be able to service international markets, something that UK aviation should miss with its exit from the Union European Union.

Negotiators agreed, for example, that airlines operating in the United Kingdom, but mostly owned by foreign companies, could continue to fly between the two countries even after Brexit.

The UK also offered to include its overseas territories in the agreement, something that is not covered by the current open skies between the European Union and the United States. Source and
