After heavy snowfall, Bariloche airport returns to normal

After the disturbances caused by the great snowfall and the low temperatures of the last weekend, Bariloche resumes its normal life. The airport was closed for three days and caused some inconveniences to tourists, as the snow coincided with the arrival forecast of the largest amount of flights.

During the week, temperatures began to rise, resulting in decreased snow and ice accumulation. The airport resumed operations to receive 20 more flights scheduled for the season. The airlines have committed to reschedule the trips of all who could not be on the flights or reimburse the value of the tickets.

Local authorities have pledged to meet all passenger claims that have been affected by the drawbacks of the blizzard.

This winter season has entered the history of Bariloche with the highest occupancy rate in recent years: they exceed 90% of the hotel capacity, which is 30 thousand beds.
