Cirque Du Soleil and Disney renew partnership for new show

The Disney Springs shopping center at the Walt Disney World complex in Orlando prepares to host a new Cirque Du Soleil show. This week, the two companies involved announced the renewal of their partnership and, as a result, gave clues about the new show at Disney Springs. It is speculated that the new show should debut in about a year, as the current theater was built by the current La Nouba show.

As a theme for the new show, Disney’s historic heritage in the world of animation will be addressed. The legacy of the company’s storytellers will be dramatized with the already well-known special twist of Cirque Du Soleil. “We look forward to continuing this collaboration with Cirque Du Soleil by developing this new show that will honor Disney’s rich animation history,” said Tiffany Rende, Senior Vice President for Alliances at Disney.

She recalls that “this lasting relationship is built on mutual appreciation and on the success of our joint work with La Nubia over the last two decades.” The president and CEO of Cirque Du Soleil, Daniel Lamarre, commented on the agreement. “We were very inspired by the immense and creative Disney universe. We are convinced that bringing Disney’s magic to the stage will thrill audiences and take them back to their childhoods, “he said.

The La Nouba show, already attended by more than 11 million people in about nine thousand presentations, officially ends on December 31, 2017.
