The Disneyland Resort in California will gain a new lodging option starting in 2021. Disney has announced the construction of a new four-star hotel in the western part of the Downtown Disney District, opening a new gateway to the complex.
The venture will feature 700 rooms and promises a different design to everything that already exists in the city of Anaheim. Construction managers, set to begin during the next summer in North America, are also keen to create a dynamic dining experience and expand entertainment options and experiences for both guests and local audiences. There will still be a restaurant and lounge positioned on one of the higher floors to give guests a view of the fireworks show.
Outside, the gardens and mini-lakes will give an oasis-like appearance to the new hotel, which will also have its own train station leading to the theme park, Disneyland Monorail. The ground floor will feature shops, restaurants and connection to four other resort hotels along the paths through the gardens.
