Exchange increases among older people

The STB – Student Travel Bureau – has noticed a 33% increase in people between 45 and 55 years old who are looking for exchanges. The growth occurred from January to March 2017, compared to the same period last year. For Bruno Contrera, manager of courses and universities abroad of the STB, demand has increased especially because of the crisis in the country. “Many executives lost jobs and decided to invest in themselves. In addition, the country has many multinational companies and executives need English to maintain and grow in their positions, “he said.

According to the executive, there are schools that make specific classes for this audience, bringing together managers, CEOs and professionals from the top tier of companies, to make the course richer and adapted to the needs of these people. The most sought after courses are those of professionalizing English in the areas of Business, Finance and HR. There is also much interest in fast courses in design, fashion and cool hunting. The most common countries, because they offer these types of courses, are USA, Canada, England and Australia.
