First shuttle without a driver is launched in Paris

Always seeking to be one step ahead when it comes to urban mobility, Paris now launches a shuttle without a driver linking the Vincennes Park and the Chatêau de Vincennes subway station at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.

Although recent, and still in search of guinea pigs – which, momentarily, has maintained the free service -, the autonomous vehicles are trend in the world. Many companies are in the test phase and in a few years mobility can undergo changes.

“An innovation that will soon invade our world of Tourism”, points the director of Hola Tour Inn Paris, Silvia Helena, in the blogosphere of Portal PANROTAS. According to her, for next year the company Navya, founded in Lyon and creator of the autonomous bus, will begin to test in the streets of Paris its autonomous taxis.

In the blog Direct of Paris, Silvia presents in more detail the novelties of the shuttle, besides tracing a historical panorama of the transformations in the Parisian transport.
