London airport launches Christmas campaign

London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom uses for the second consecutive year in its Christmas campaign the bears Doris and Edward Bair, who had portrayed their history of love that already lasts 50 years. Part of the scenes was recorded at Terminal 1 and British Airways provided an original BOAC plane, commissary uniforms and additional historical details convey an authentic atmosphere of the time.

“After an irresistible worldwide response to Doris and Edward last year, we had to bring those lovely bears back to our screens,” says Heathrow commercial director Ross Baker. “We hear from our passengers that there is no feelings that are more than being embraced by a loved one at Christmas. We want the ad to capture this unique feeling and make people feel even more excited to receive friends and family this holiday season. “

The video, which was directed by Dom & Nic and was conceived by the agency Havas London, begins in the 1960s when the couple met after Edward forgot his coat in the armchair and Doris followed him to return the garment. The song that packs the novel is Petula Clark’s Could not Live Without Your Love.
