São Paulo will have 25 hours of commemorative programming

On January 25, next Thursday, in commemoration of the 464 years of age, São Paulo will have a party in the Anhangabaú Valley and in various parts of the city. The “City Feast” program will start at 11am on the 25th and will run until 12h the following day. Mayor João Doria expects more than two million people to attend the event.

Doria made a point of emphasizing that the 25 hours of activities are being carried out with the support of the private sector. “There will be no disbursement by the city hall of the city of São Paulo,” he said.The sponsors are the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center and AES Eletropaulo.The estimate is that the City Festival costs around R $ 1.8 million, according to André Sturm, the municipal secretary of Culture.

Sturm further stated that “as the 25th anniversary is 25th, it will be 25 hours of programming. We sought to organize a program that could please all audiences and that could also be spread throughout the city. ” The Anhangabaú will also receive magical spectacles, inflatable play objects, karaoke stage, among others.

According to the mayor, buses will work at dawn to transport the people who are checking out the shows. The city also tries to negotiate with the subway so that it runs uninterruptedly at dawn from the 25th to the 26th of January.
