The LATAM Airlines Group was recognized as a ‘Five Star Global Airline’ for its onboard experience in the APEX 2018 Airlines Official Ratings, announced in California, USA.
LATAM was one of two companies in Latin America and one of the only three in the Americas to receive the award of the highest ranking of ‘global airline’, those with a large number of wide-body aircraft and wide international network.
The Airline Passenger Experience (APEX) classifies the on-board experience of airlines based on independent ratings made by passengers, whose criteria include experience as a whole, seat comfort, on-board service, food and beverage quality, entertainment and wi-fi. Between October 24, 2016 and July 31, 2017, passengers evaluated more than 500,000 flights on more than 470 airlines from around the world.
APEX is a non-profit organization that has been working over the past four decades to assess and enhance the airline’s experience in all aspects, from the design, construction and installation of seating, entertainment, and communications systems on commercial aircraft to airport lounges and board meals.
