Divided into ten categories, the best hotels in the world were nominated to reach the final of the Best of the Best 2018.

All of the properties handpicked, and the largest number of hotels being five stars among all tracking programs. Candidates chosen by Virtuoso Consultants and the editors of Virtuoso Life magazine and represent the best in each category.

The last category recognizes hotels that are most committed to the three pillars of sustainable tourism: preserving the environment, supporting local economies and celebrating cultures.

Tangará Palace, in São Paulo, is the only property in Brazil and South America to be included in the Best Design category and to be on the list of finalists.

The Best of the Best vote will receive the votes of Virtuoso Consultants in the coming weeks and the winners will be announced at the Hotels & Resorts Dinner on August 15 during Virtuoso Travel Week – an event that will take place from August 11 to 17 at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas (USA).
