Brazilians can enter 15 more countries than in 2017

Any Brazilian citizen, since in possession of a passport, can enter 158 countries without the need to apply for a visa. There are 15 more countries than last year, when Brazilians could travel to 143.

The information was unveiled in the 2018 edition of the Henley Passport Index, which unveils the world’s strongest passports based on Iata data, and has placed the Brazilian as the 18th most powerful on the planet, tied with that of Argentina, which gives access to the same number of nations; compared to last year, Brazil dropped four places – before it was the 14th.

It is worth remembering that each position in the study has more than one representative, and if you count the number of nations ahead of Brazil, the country would be in the 40th place.

First of all was Germany: any holder of a German passport can freely access 177 countries, 19 more than last year, when that number was 158 – coincidentally, the same number of countries that the Brazilian passport gives access to today. Second was Singapore, with access to 176 countries; Germany, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Finland.

At the other end of the table, Afghanistan ranks last (104th), with access to only 24 countries; Iraq, with access to 27 countries, and Syria, which has the right to enter 28 nations.
