Brazilians should choose home market this summer

Even with the economic crisis, a Survey of Consumer Survey reveals that 26.5% of Brazilians expect to travel in the next six months. This is what a study of the Ministry of Tourism says. This is the highest percentage recorded this year and coincides with the arrival of the high season in the country marked by the beginning of summer, school holidays and holidays. Of this total, 81.8% should take advantage to discover the various attractions that domestic destinations offer.
The car appears as vice leader in the means of transport that should be used by those who want to put their foot on the road: 32.5%, behind only the plane that remains leader with 57.1% of the preference. In relation to the means of lodging, hotels and inns, the preferred option among the interviewees is 46.6%. Next is the house of friends and relatives with 37.2% and own residence with 8.3%.
“Brazil is full of destinations and attractions that are able to please and delight the most diverse tourist profiles. This research shows that the Brazilian wants to discover these beauties and we are very confident that this move will boost the travel sector in the country, “said Tourism Minister, Marx Beltrão.
Regarding destination, the Northeast maintains leadership and continues to be the most desired region for domestic travelers with 49% of travel intent. The Southeast should be chosen by 23.4%, followed by the South (14.3%), Midwest (8.7%) and North (4.6%).
The Consumer Survey – Travel Intent is held monthly by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo. Together, these capitals account for 70% of the Brazilian domestic tourist flow.
