Customers elect the best airline team

The American Airlines team at São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) was recognized by the company’s customers as the best service, taking into account criteria such as punctuality, baggage handling and customer satisfaction. The American Airlines ‘Customers’ Cup is held quarterly and is played by 15 other teams from different international airports.

American Airlines teams from Rio de Janeiro / Galeão airports, Barcelona (Spain), Paris (France), Dublin (Ireland), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Rome (Italy), Frankfurt (Germany), Sao Paulo (Hong Kong), London (England), Madrid (Spain), Manchester (England), Narita (Japan), Beijing (China), Shanghai (China) and Santiago (Chile).

“The aim of the competition is to recognize our employees who stand out for the great service they offer our passengers. We are proud of our entire American Airlines team and we especially congratulate the GRU team for the achievement,” said Dilson Verçosa Jr., director American Airlines regional sales to Brazil.

To commemorate the award, the company held an awards ceremony today at the Marriott Hotel in Guarulhos, where the winning team received a trophy from the hands of Juan Carlos Liscano, Managing Director of American Airlines for Latin America. During the event, the company also awarded outstanding employees.

The American Airlines team at São Paulo-Guarulhos Airport has 235 employees. The team is coordinated by Suzana Yeh, general manager at the São Paulo / Guarulhos International Airport (GRU). “Receiving the award is proof of the hard work and collaboration between all those involved in American Airlines’ daily operations at the airport. We are very happy with the team we have and today’s event is to honor each one of them,” Suzana said.
