The place has its importance in the history of the country, because it is where the Convention of Evoramonte was signed, document that ended the Portuguese Civil War in 1834. Enjoy to see from the terrace the impressive view of the Alentejo fields, illuminated by a beautiful sunset. Sun.

Still in the old village, which practically stopped in time, stroll through its small streets decorated with typical white houses. Often, the skirting boards and contours of doors and windows are painted yellow or blue, giving a special color to the picturesque scenery. Worth a visit is the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Mother Church, which gathers Gothic and Baroque styles, as well as the handicraft shops on Rua Santa Maria.
