Easter in Bariloche is sure of unforgettable moments

Chocolate and Bariloche are almost synonymous. The city is considered the national capital of Argentina and produces annually, on average, 1000 tons of candy. With all this tradition nothing better than organizing a party having it as the central theme.

Already part of the fixed calendar of Bariloche, during Holy Week is organized the Chocolate Festival. In it are celebrated all the forms, flavors and textures that this food, which was once considered of the gods, can present.

To thematize the season, from March 29 to April 1, Bariloche won a special decoration with Easter theme at the Civic Center and in several shops in the city. In addition, the locals and tourists who are there will be able to enjoy a special program. There will be shows, jokes and tastings in every corner. The culmination of the week takes place on Friday, the 30th, when Miter Street produces the world’s largest chocolate bar. In total, there are 150 chocolate masters from different factories who gather and assemble 200 meters of chocolate, containing 400 kilos of nuts, nuts and dried fruits, resulting in a delicious bar with more than 1 ton.

The program still has treasure hunting all over Miter Street, which this year will have more decoration than the previous year. It will also be possible to take advantage of several other artistic facilities, and special programming for children throughout the city.

An important destination during Easter, Bariloche is occupied by 90% during Holy Week. On Friday, during the production of the world’s largest chocolate bar, there are more than 10,000 people around the city.

All this program is organized by the City of Chocolateiros, with the support of the Tourism Promotion Agency EMPORTUR, along with the Municipality of Bariloche and the Province of Rio Negro. It also has the support of the Federal Investment Council.
