Lisbon was honored with the award for Best European Cruise Port, the World Travel Awards Europe 2017, for its quality of services and infrastructure available to tourists visiting and calling in the city. The award ceremony was held in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The parade of cruise ships on the Tagus river has already entered the routine of the city and is proven by the passage of 522 thousand cruzeiristas, of which 472 thousand in transit, last year alone.

Worldwide, Lisbon is nominated for Best Destination City Break, Best Cruise Destination and Best Cruise Port, whose winners will be known on December 10 at a ceremony taking place in Vietnam.

Created in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognize the best examples of good practice in the tourism industry on a global scale. The voting is carried out by the general public and by more than 200 thousand professionals of Tourism, coming from 160 countries.
