Meeting Brazil 2017 will promote Foz do Iguaçu

According to the Ministry of Tourism, Foz do Iguaçu is one of the favorite destinations for foreign tourists in search of leisure, business and events. This great demand from abroad for the destination stimulated the Foz Integrated Management to invest in Meeting Brasil – Business Round, which takes place in August in several South American cities.

Only The Iguaçu National Park received more than 1.5 million tourists in 2016, according to figures from the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio). Of these, 47.5% were foreigners. It is expected that the record will be beaten in 2017, mainly due to the growth of 15% in the movement during the semester.

According to the secretary of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Strategic Projects of Foz do Iguaçu, Gilmar Piolla, the strategy during the event is to present the innovations in infrastructure and offers of tourist services. “We also want to reinforce the image of a destination with many attractions, organized and with an excellent relation in the cost-effectiveness of the hotel industry,” he adds.

Among the main attractions of the city are the National Park of Iguaçu, listed as Natural Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO, the Iguassu Falls, among others.

All the attractions will be presented by the representatives of the city at the Meeting Brasil 2017, which takes place in the cities of Córdoba (15/08) and Buenos Aires (17/08), in Argentina, Lima, Peru (22/08) and Bogota, in Colombia (08/24). The events will be held in prominent hotels in the central regions of each of the venues.
