New details about the megatransatlântico Seaside

After its expansion, with the inauguration of MSC Meraviglia, MSC Cruises was preparing to present another megatransatlantic, the MSC Seaside. The ship is inspired by a beach condo, will have one of the largest outdoor areas aboard a craft and will provide travelers with a closer experience to the sea. The vessel’s christening ceremony is scheduled for December in Miami, and will be the first event to be delivered by a company vessel in the United States.

With 160,000 tonnes, 323 meters in length and capacity to accommodate more than 5,100 guests, MSC Seaside will be the largest transatlantic ever built by the Fincantieri shipyard. Onboard, it will provide entertainment, leisure and gastronomic experiences in a 360 ° area overlooking the sea. In addition, the infrastructure will include four toboggans, six swimming pools, interactive water park, breathtaking panoramic lifts, two glass walkways, an exciting zipline with a 120 meter course, among other attractions for all ages.

The Seaside will also have 13 different types of cabin, with 73% with balcony. There will be options for all profiles, including those customized for families and groups of up to ten people. For those looking for more amenities, you can also find rooms with private hydromassages and hanging gardens. Still focusing on hospitality, the MSC Yacht Club, the owner’s exclusive luxury product, will occupy five decks in the most privileged area of ​​the vessel. In addition, it will offer two loft-style suites with a living room, a large balcony with dining area and private whirlpool.

Some global brands will also have attractions on the ocean liner, which will strengthen MSC’s important partnerships. These companies include Lego® and Chicco®, which will offer incredible spaces for children and families on board. And being the gastronomy one of the main differentials of the company, the meganavio will have an exclusive restaurant of Chef Roy Yamaguchi – Pan Asian Market Kitchen, with three environments: Sushi Bar, Teppanyaki East-West grill and Pan Asian restaurant. In all, there will be 11 restaurants, including five themed restaurants and two open buffets 20 hours a day.

Another major milestone of MSC Seaside will be in presenting new sustainability standards. All vessels of this generation will be equipped with a highly efficient waste management system for solid waste management, purifiers to reduce emissions of pollutants, special paints, custom hull lines, propellers and rudders designed to reduce drag and, for Fuel consumption.

When ready, the mega-embarkation will remain dedicated, throughout the year, to itineraries throughout the Caribbean, with departures from the Port of Miami. Among the destinations are also George Town, Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Mexico and Nassau, Bahamas. And, beginning in November 2018, the routes will also include the Ocean Cay MSC, a stunning marine reserve and private island in the Bahamas, exclusive to the shipowner’s guests.

The transatlantic will be the first of the new generation Seaside to come on stream and is part of an investment plan of 9 billion euros, which includes a total of 11 meganavios, from three generations: Meraviglia, Seaside and World Class. By 2026, they will all be ready and will enable the company to nearly triple its offer, from 1.8 million transported cruisers per year to 5 million.

The new inaugurations will have a direct impact on the Brazilian market. MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato pointed out that the second ship in the Seaside series should be shipped for the Brazilian season. “In 2018 we will inaugurate the second ship of the Seaside series, the Seaview, which will go to Brazil in November for the cruise season,” he said.
