In 2018, Germany invites tourists to sit at the table and get to know the rich and varied German cuisine, which goes well beyond the foreseeable sauerkraut and sausage and reaches, with excellence and refinement, the Michelin-standard gourmet plateau – today the counts 292 starred restaurants. In line with the theme adopted for next year, the hashtag #EnjoyGermanFood will be used to highlight the German gastronomy in social networks.

Still in 2018, an influencer of international renown will cover the 16 German states. In each place, he will meet the local marketing manager and together they will go to the fair to buy ingredients to prepare local dishes. The film “Follow the Taste” will be created from videos of 1 and a half minutes, which will show not only the recipes, but also the history of each State, the recipes and the Ingredients.

In Brazil, a renowned chef will make one of these 16 recipes during a Cook Show, which will be held in the South region in the first half of 2018. The audience of the event will be selected from a contest that will be held in social media.

In the second semester, the DZT will launch some gastronomic routes unpublished by Germany, that will be revealed to the tourist trade in a great culinary event. Based on innovative experiences, the German cuisine will be presented in a playful way and will replace the traditional road show Destino Germany. The event is open to partners, who can come together to show their products and news in Germany to the public.
