A survey conducted by the online tourism agency, ViajaNet, pointed out that Lisbon is the most sought after international destination for Brazilians in 2017. The leadership of the Portuguese city breaks the hegemony of destinations in the United States, which used to dominate the ranking of travelers’ favorite destinations national authorities.
This year, Portugal was voted the number one destination in Europe by the World Travel Awards, for uniting attributes considered ideal for travelers, such as gastronomy, ease among the most visited regions, landscapes and receptivity by the population.
