Viracopos is elected by passengers the best airport in Brazil for the second consecutive time

 

Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas, São Paulo, was elected for the sixth time the country’s best air terminal in the passenger satisfaction survey conducted by the Civil Aviation Secretariat (SAC). In the last quarter, the airport also took first place. The study interviewed 13,649 passengers in the embarkation and disembarkation of the 15 main airports of Brazil in the months of July, August and September of this year. The announcement was made this Wednesday, (18).

In general passenger satisfaction, Viracopos reached a score of 4.78, on a scale ranging from 1 to 5. In the first quarter of this year, Viracopos was in 4th place with 4.47. Already in the survey of the second quarter of this year, Viracopos was in first, maintaining the placement in the third quarter. The overall average of the 15 airports was 4.38.
Viracopos CEO Gustavo Müssnich believes that this assessment reflects the team’s efforts in pursuit of excellence in airport services. “This is the sixth time that Viracopos has won this important recognition and the second consecutive time in 2017. We also recently won the title of second best cargo airport in the world. This demonstrates that Viracopos strives to improve every time the services offered to customers, “he said.

Movement
Viracopos closed the first nine months of the year with growth in cargo and passenger traffic compared to 2016.
In the passenger terminal were registered almost 7.1 million passengers until September, number 2.01% above the total handled in the same period of 2016.
At the Cargo Terminal, growth was 19.28% from January to September compared to the same period last year. In total, 138.7 thousand tons of cargo were transported in exports and imports.
