From next year, Avalon Waterways will be the only European river cruiser to offer, in all 16 ships in its flotilla, two decks occupied solely by suites and, on board, Adventure Centers under the direction of experts and availability of bicycles, kayaks and ashtray picnic sets.

Another novelty for 2019 is that Avalon will extend to the Rhone River the Active Discovery – program currently restricted to the Danube and Rhine Rivers, with a wide range of options for cruises, from longer stays at land stops, to choice of excursions and outdoor sports activities, for different levels of practitioners.

Passion twin brother (inaugurated in 2016), Avalon Envision is scheduled for completion in October (2018), and will begin shipping in April 2019. It will have 67 Panorama Suites, which in 2017 for the third consecutive year, were chosen by the grand jury of Cruise Critic and by cruise shipmen as the best booths of European river navigation. The size of the booths was 18,5 m2 private (more than 30% higher than the European market); and a solution applied by Avalon, also exclusive – in the cabins, beds facing panoramic windows, with floor to ceiling and wall to wall spans.
