Learn how Universal wants to end the queues in the parks

One of the great frustrations – perhaps the main – of visitors to a theme park is wasting time waiting in line to enjoy the attractions. The Universal Orlando Resort, however, wants to end this ‘headache’.
Starting with the new Volcano Bay water park opened in May, the brand has installed a system that promises to revolutionize the visitor experience. After receiving the Tapu-Tapu bracelet when entering the park, the person starts to use it to save his place in a virtual queue, but how does this work in practice? Just at the entrance of each attraction, people lean the bracelet on the panels to have their space reserved in the queue. Tapu-Tapu’s screen then shows how long it will take to walk on one of the toys.
Universal’s idea is to organize the attractions so that people wait a maximum of 15 minutes in line, while the rest of the time can be spent at other attractions or even in the park’s open spaces. The Volcano Bay solution is efficient and guarantees a much shorter waiting time, thinking precisely about the most popular attractions, such as the Krakatau water-roller.
Already at Universal Studios, also in Orlando, a different way, but with the same concept, is already used in the attraction Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon not to make the public wait. Through the official application of the park, the visitor can save their space in the virtual queue – just like the Tapu-Tapu in the Volcano – while walking on other toys. In addition to this, the future Fast & Furious – Supercharged will also feature the same system.
