Brazil received 616 US visa applications in the first week of operation of the electronic process to simplify the issuance of documents in the United States. Of these, 327 had already been issued on Thursday (1 st).

The simplification of electronic visit visas, the so-called e-Visa, began on November 21 in Australia. The Ministry of Tourism says that about 570,000 US tourists travel to Brazil each year and inject US $ 710.5 million into the economy.

Visas are valid for two years or for the period of validity of the passport. According to the Itamaraty, for the longest visas, it is necessary to seek a Brazilian consulate.
