Guarulhos had several flights canceled due to strike in Argentina

The general strike convened by the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) in Argentina, on Monday (18), had a direct impact on tourism. That’s because today’s flights to the airports of Ezeiza and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires ended up being canceled, affecting thousands of passengers, including Brazilians.

The paralysis was attended by associations of pilots, commissioners and other posts involving the aeronautical operation. In Guarulhos, nine flights from companies like Gol, Latam, Qatar Airways and Turkish, as well as partnerships with Aerolíneas Argentinas, could not take off on Monday.

The operation of the airlines in Argentina was also affected, causing passengers could not leave the country until noon next Tuesday (19). Aerolíneas asks that people not show up at airports, making the necessary changes via internet or telephone. The company also remembers that there will be no additional charges for changes in dates and flights.

According to Gol, travelers flying canceled flights have been rearranged in advance, but reinforces that the telephone service channels, 0300 115 2121 (Brazil) and 0810 2663131 (Argentina), are already performing the re-charges without costs.

Latam, in turn, revealed that customers can change flights up to 15 days from the original date of the ticket, and there is also the possibility of reimbursement of the amount paid and until change of route, the latter option with additional payments.

Azul has revealed that it is already working to communicate and rearrange its customers who bought tickets to fly this Monday.

Consolidator Skyteam also demonstrated through the crisis in Argentina. The company has revealed that it will also switch dates without charges and fare differences, keeping route and original cabin to fly until December 31. For any route and date of flight as of January 1, 2018, there will be a penalty and corresponding fare difference.
