BIELLA RISTORANTE

The Italian house has just opened in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach’s South Florida neighborhood on Collins Avenue nº 17082. Serving typical, refined Italian dishes in a luxurious atmosphere. Its name pays homage to the picturesque town of the Piedmont region in northern Italy. The purpose of the space is to provide the ideal environment for customers to enjoy their meals. Designed by Gonzalo Carnevalli, the Biella is suitable for those in search of traditional Italian cuisine served in an environment. With capacity for 151 people and mixes modern charm with comfort and well-being. The space has natural elements that reflect the contemporary trends of decoration in South Florida. The outdoor area is decorated in a bistro style and accommodates up to 28 people.

First Wynwood rooftop bar, space for fusion between art, culture and music. Under the leadership of chef Norman Van Aken, the bar highlights fusions with Florida flavors and features a large menu of cocktails made with local ingredients and an excellent wine list and craft beers. The outdoor setting has breathtaking views of the Biscayne skyline. Downstairs is Restaurant Three, also headed by chef Norman Van Aken in partnership with Susan Buckley and Candace Walsh of Southbound Hospitality.

The rooftop space is highly versatile and can also be used as an art gallery. Several works by internationally renowned artists decorate the walls of the lounge, which also features extensive cultural programming.

HAPPY PLACE DONUTS

David Grutman, owner of Komodo, OTL and Plant, has just opened the Happy Place Donuts dessert house. The 370-square-meter coffee is the result of collaboration between the Miami nightlife king (Grutman) and Charissa Davidovici, founder of the Sugar Factory. The store is on the Española Way and shares space with Sugar Factory’s Gummy World.

Considered a “confectioner’s palace”, Happy Place Donuts has an indoor café, an outdoor patio, a garden and a rubber teddy machine and can accommodate up to 120 people. The flagships of the house are rainbow, guava-and-cheese and hot dough balls.

The confectionery still produces its own Pop-Tarts in sweet and salty versions. Ice cream is also manufactured locally, as are the swirlies – the milk shake whose main ingredient can be chosen by customers.
