Association launches research during WTM Latin America

ALAGEV – Latin American Association of Event and Corporate Travel Managers – confirms its participation in WTM Latin America 2018, a tourism trade event held from April 3 to 5, at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, during which it will do the presentation of Statistics 2018.

The study, which took place over 10 years ago, is presented each year and was created with the objective of making relevant industry data available to the corporate travel market.

Based on the responses of ALAGEV’s own associate managers and with the cooperation of the group of managers from the South, the group of managers from Minas Gerais and the TMG (Travel Managers Group), 56 criteria, considered as determinants for the industry, are evaluated. “ALAGEV is an entity committed to proposing actions for the development of the events and corporate tourism sectors, so we are always committed to working alongside strategic partners who work in the reflection, debate and proposition of content relevant to our members and for the market in general, “says Rodrigo Cezar, president of the entity.

The Statistician begins by identifying the origin of companies by country (South America, North America, Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania) and by branch of activity. among others, of more than 20 sectors such as agribusiness, food, communication, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, technology and retail. In addition to identifying the volume of employees and travelers, the study also provides general information on travel policy and details on the operation of this area within companies – both with regard to current methods and possible changes to be adopted year, considering national and international travel, regardless of travel time, traveler profile and budget.

“Always keeping the confidentiality of the participating companies and their strategies, our study is very broad and detailed. It is a true X-ray in the industry that will undoubtedly contribute to the understanding of the entire industry. Exactly so, launching it during WTM Latin America is very important to us. New Council
The new board of ALAGEV, elected at LACTE 13, held between February 25 and 27, has Rodrigo Cezar (Roche) in the chair, and Ana Prado (Syngenta), Ana Panneitz (Pfizer), Larissa Licatti (IBM), Manuela Souza Algar), Marcel Frigeira (IBM) Paulo Frigo (Capgemini) and Roberta Moreno (BMS), elected as managers. Alexandre Pinto (Fly Events), Ana Luzia Masagão (Royal Palm), Gustavo Elbaum (CWT), Juliana Castiglione (GOL) and Mateus Passos (Tour House) are part of the Council Suppliers core.
