WTM Latin America confirms strong destinations for 2018 edition

WTM Latin America 2018 – the world’s leading event for the Latin American travel industry – has already confirmed major destinations for the next edition, which will take place between April 3 and 5, 2018, at Expo Center Norte, in the city of São Paulo.

The United States of America leads the ranking so far, with 8 exhibitors already confirmed within just four months of the event. Among them are Bahamas Tourist Office, USA Brand, Visit Orlando, Visit Florida, Las Vegas Convention & Visitor Authority, NYC & Company, and Visit Kissimee.

Among other confirmed destinations are exhibitors from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. They are respectively: Tourism of Chile, Peru, Egypt – Egyptian Tourist Authority and Palestine – Palestine Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities.

“The already confirmed destinations return to the event and, with this, collaborate with the success that WTM Latin America has conquered worldwide in the tourist segment throughout these years. Having them back with us reinforces the importance and scope that the business generated during show days have in the Latin American tourism market, “says Luciane Leite, director of WTM Latin America.

In 2017 around 8 thousand visitors were present at the event, which was an increase of 18% over the previous year. It was in this scenario, with approximately 50 countries present and 600 exhibitors, that WTM Latin America offered the opportunity to leverage the tourism sector by promoting the diffusion of destinations in different continents, which have the opportunity to highlight their culture, gastronomy, attractions and differential in attracting strategic partners related to the sector.
