Travel agency starts to answer via messaging application

The online agency Decolar.com has developed a new service channel in partnership with the Whatsapp application. The pilot-based tool is designed to provide after-sales services such as flight reprogramming and flight status information for airlines in real-time.

About five thousand messages a day have already been sent to the company’s customers, located in Latin America.

“The partnership with Whatsapp made us very proud because it helped us provide excellent service to our customers,” celebrates the head of Product Management and UX of Decolar, Leandro Malandini.

“What we want is to enrich and be part of the travel experience of consumers. We are sure that this new channel will be very important in approaching our audience and in monitoring the entire travel process, “he adds.

According to official information, more than 35 million downloads of the company’s mobile application were made, reaffirming the trend of using mobile devices to make purchases. The company also announced that 29% of transactions were carried out through the application, representing year-on-year growth of 55%.
