Carnival is for everyone! From samba to marchinhas, from frevo to axé, there are plenty of itineraries for lovers of the most colorful and dancing holiday of the year. Besides being interesting for people who enjoy revelers, the date expands the cultural and tourist range of the country and has events that are outside the carnival, but that offer a lot of fun for those who do not enjoy the typical rhythms.

The National Calendar of Events of the Ministry of Tourism is an online tool where the traveler can consult various events – carnival or not – that take place during Carnival and also other times of the year. Psicodália (RS) – The south will be the destination of those who want to enjoy alternative music in the midst of nature. The Psicodália festival, in Rio Negrinho (SC), takes place during Carnival week and features concerts by artists like Jorge Ben Jor and Zé Ramalho. There are more than 200 attractions with rock, psychedelic, reggae, mpb, jazz and regional styles, as well as workshops, theater, cinema and recreation. The festival is multicultural and is tied to themes such as sustainability.

Rec-Beat (PE) – Pernambuco will host the 23rd edition of the Rec-Beat Festival, an event that combines alternative sounds and reveals innovative artistic proposals. The mix of MPB, electronic, rock, pop, samba and jazz by national and international artists will take place in Recife and will have special editions in the municipalities of Sobral, Caruaru, Dragão and Olinda.

Gravatá Jazz Festival (PE) – Music not carnival in the melodies of jazz and blues that will be on the list of Gravatá Jazz Festival, event that reaches its 3rd edition and happens in the municipality of Gravatá (PE). The sound of national and international artists, combined with the colonial architecture and cold climate in the Northeast, will make Carnaval 2018 unforgettable.

Rio Music Carnival (RJ) – In addition to the samba schools and street blocks, the carnival of the capital of Rio de Janeiro will be celebrated with electronic music. The 10th edition of Rio Music Carnival promises to “connect Rio de Janeiro in the making” and bring sound, color and light shows to the participants. Big names in the electronic scene will compose the list of attractions for the tourist who will celebrate the holiday in a super technological tent.

Rock Stage (BA) – In the middle of the Carnival of Salvador, rock will gain space and bring a lot of music for lovers of rhythm. In 2018, the Rock Stage completes 24 years and is considered the biggest celebration of rock during the Carnival period. The event will be held in Praia de Piatã and will bring bands from Bahia and other states, as well as a tattoo exhibition, handicrafts, accessories and clothing.

Festival de Cerveja Artesanal (AP) – Gastronomy lovers will be well served in Macapá, as the city holds the 1st Festival of Artisanal Beers. The event will sharpen the palate of the brewers and will bring together three companies from the artisan beverage sector and four food companies. The organizers estimate the consummation of 7 thousand liters of craft beers in 20 thousand tastings and about 8 thousand food tastings specially made to be in harmony with the liquid.
