There are some carnivals. São Paulo ceased to be a city that amazed revelers. Each year, the number of carnival blocks has grown and, in the same measure, attracted more participants. For 2018 alone, the São Paulo city government already counts more than 500 registered blocks – with the most different themes and chants of the city.

Although the official Carnival 2018 programming begins only in February, some blocks are already organizing open trials to the public. Check out:

Bass Augusta

One of the most traditional blocks in São Paulo, the Academicians of Baixo Augusta began its fifth essays (11), which are expected to extend until January 31. Included in the program are attractions such as samba wheels, workshops, concerts and the parties Pardieiro, Selvagem and Venga Venga. It is worth mentioning that the parade will take place on February 4, on Consolação Street.

Monobloc

Today (13) and January 27, also in the Audio club, the block will hold its rehearsals before the parade, which will take place on February 4. In the repertoire, the audience will enjoy traditional songs, mixing instruments such as chip, peal, tambourine, rattle, deaf and agogô with guitar and bass grooves.

Cecília and Buarques

The block is still a novelty for many revelers. In reference to the neighborhoods of Santa Cecília and Vila Buarque, a Facebook group gathered to unite the residents and, in the midst of it, the folia ended up taking care of and creating a block – that narrates the meeting of the muse Cecilia with the rogue Buarque and the birth of the mythical Minhocão. The warm up will also happen today (13) and the parade is scheduled for February 17.

Minhoqueens

Taken as one of the main São Paulo blocks for diversity, in the third year the revelers can go to the streets to check it out. The warm up happens today (13) and the parade will take place on February 10.

Transinha

Many glitter and tropical music promise to shake the heat of the block, which will take place on Sunday (14), in the neighborhood of Bixiga. The party does not take to the streets with blocks, but organizes dances and parties, whose dates can be checked on your Facebook page.

Stunned

With sambas of roda, samba-axé and marchinhas, the block will celebrate its 15 years with two rehearsals. The first, tomorrow (14), will be in Traço da União – next to Brigadeiro Faria Lima -, and the second, on January 20, will be at Largo da Batata. It is worth mentioning that the parade will be double as well. Being on the 4th of February the Pasionão and, on the 10th, the Pastora.

Catuaba block

On January 20 the block will perform a rehearsal at Nossa Casa, Vila Madalena, at a party that promises to last for 14 hours. In addition, revelers and catuaba lovers will still be able to participate in the parade, which will take place on February 17th.

Bangalafumenga

Carioca, the block that mixes funk and samba, will make its debut in São Paulo. Banga Summer’s rehearsal will take place on 21 March at The Week in Lapa, while its parade is scheduled to take place on February 4.

Sergeant Pepper

In both Rio and São Paulo, the Rio block is one of the most popular with the hits of the Beatles. Still without a defined date to parade in the city of São Paulo, the heat will happen in the Musical Natural House, in Pinheiros, on February 1st.
