Check out what is needed before traveling abroad

Many Brazilians dream of a trip abroad, either to improve a language, to know a destination of dreams during vacations or even to work in another country, which offers a unique opportunity for professional development; but before you make the decision and start planning the trip, you need to know some information about the destination country.

Schultz Consular Visas specializes in providing services to companies, agencies and the traveler, offering intermediation services for the withdrawal of passports by Brazilians, issuance of visas, issuance of an International Permit to Drive, legalization of foreigners and extension of stay in the country, in addition to other services. “It is essential to know some information before even beginning to pay for the trip,” explains Adriana Santos, manager of the Schultz Visas Consular Visas Department in São Paulo.

Thus, the company has raised essential information for travelers going abroad. Look:

  1. Always check the validity of your passport. Most countries require minimum validity for shipment;
  2. See if the country you are traveling to requires entrance visa for your nationality;
  3. If you intend to rent / rent a vehicle and drive in the country of destination, it is important to arrange the International Driving Permit (PID) with Detran or Ciretrans;
  4. The PID has the same validity date as the driver’s CNH and is valid in countries where Brazil has an agreement. See the list of countries on the Detran website;
  5. Travel insurance is key. Never travel without;
  6. Make sure the country you are traveling to requires or recommends a yellow fever vaccine. The Yellow Fever Vaccine Certificate must be valid International, noting that if it is mandatory, the traveler must be vaccinated at least ten days in advance of the trip, due to the incubation period of the same;
  7. If you wish to work in another country, be aware of visa requirements, since all countries require entry visas and the time for issuing is usually higher than tourism.
  8. If you lose your passport abroad, contact the nearest police station to report the loss or theft of the document and then go to the nearest Consulate or Embassy in Brazil to issue the new passport;
  9. Australia allows for a study visa, for a course of more than 14 weeks, to work legally with a work load of up to 20 hours a week;
  10. There are two categories of travel visas for study or exchange in the United States: F1 or J1. It will all depend on the type of course and school chosen.
