Movida has announced the purchase of Fleet Services, a company specializing in the corporate leasing of luxury vehicles such as Audi, BMW, Mini, Jaguar, Land Rover and Porsche. Through this operation, the company creates a new brand, Movida Premium, and guarantees the exclusivity, for five years, of offering cars for rent within all current and future concessionaires of the EuroBike Network in the country.

“The market is increasingly divided into niches and, thus, we have laid the groundwork for one more of them, including new lines of business, such as Movida Mensal Flex,” said Renato Franklin, CEO of Movida. “Our goal is to offer ever more personalized locations,” he added.

The transaction value is R $ 22 million, from which will be deducted the financial debts of Fleet Services, estimated at R $ 17 million. And from now on, Movida, which already has the country’s newest and most diversified fleet, adds 153 luxury vehicles, with high added value and revenue per car five times larger than a popular one.

“The rental market in Brazil is still very immature, with low penetration and therefore has enormous potential,” says Franklin. Currently, less than 1% of the national fleet is for rental vehicles. In order to have an idea of ​​the space for growth in the second quarter of 2017, Movida recorded a record number of daily rental rates, reaching 2.7 million, an increase of 42.3% over 2Q16 due to the capture of the progressive demand In the sector.
