The main global event for the Latin American travel industry will be attended by important destinations in its 6th edition, which will take place between April 3 and 5, 2018, at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.
Turkey, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Las Vegas, Disney and Bahamas are just some of the exhibit destinations that take attractions to the most important tourism and B2B travel event in Latin America.
Turkey to show riches and plurality of the country in super space
As part of the investment plan in Latin America, Turkey will have a large stake in WTM Latin America. In the space, there will be 16 other co-exhibitors, such as Turkish Airlines and Kapadokya Tour. Turkey will also bring to the booth the Turkish artist Garip Ay, who uses the old Ebru technique to recreate paintings by famous painters such as Van Gogh.
Other elements of the rich Turkish culture, like the famous gastronomy, will be present in the space during the three days of event. The exhibition at the event aims to increase knowledge of Turkish culture in Latin America and boost the country’s influence when it comes to tourism. At the booth, visitors will be able to get to know this exotic destination and friendly people better, and plan the next trip to great historical, cultural and natural attractions.
In 2017 the number of Latin tourists traveling to Turkey increased, compared to the previous year. Only Brazilians, about 50 thousand entries, just ahead of Argentina and, according to representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Turco, this number is expected to grow this year.
Argentina presents offers and flavors at WTM Latin America
The Argentine stand at WTM Latin America will offer this year a wide agenda of activities. During the three days, the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina will present tango shows, tastings of its best wines and cuisine, as well as a large agenda of lectures and training on its products. Argentina is expecting a great winter season this year, and snow is also one of the reasons why the country is present at the fair.
The regions that offer snow like sports, leisure and entertainment will offer debates and training in the auditorium located inside the booth itself and there will also be the launch of the winter season exclusively for the press and tour operators.
The official representatives of the tourist destinations will be present to attend the agents and the operators in a delegation led by the Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Santos. In this space visitors can find Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Rosario, Ushuaia, San Martin de los Andes, San Juan, Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Salta, Mendoza, Jujuy, Iguazú, Tierra del Fuego, Neuquén Mar del Plata andrepresentatives of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Adventure Tourism, Luxury, Religious and LGBT, besides the rich gastronomy, are the highlights of Peru in WTM Latin America 2018
PROMPERÚ – represented by the Deputy Director of Incoming Tourism Promotion, Sandra Doig and the Brazilian market specialist Fanny Thivierge, accompanied by 20 Peruvian companies focused on incoming tourism, services and products – a strong presence in the event, to show the public the potential of this multi-destination country that is Peru.
The country launches, together with the Brazilian tourist trade, the international advertising campaign “Peru, the Richest Country in the World”, which brings news and trends from the segments of Adventure, Luxury, Religious and LGBT, and offers the best of its rich gastronomy .
At the Peruvian stand (E90) there will be typical cooking classes and preparation of tasting drinks, and activities with real-time experience with 360 ° animation to visualize the Nasca Lines, the Paracas and Kuélap Desert (Amazonas) .

Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World, brings news to the event
Las Vegas (USA) announces great news during WTM Latin America that should attract Brazilians to this exciting destination. LATAM Airlines will launch the first direct service from Brazil to Las Vegas with three weekly flights between June 2 and September 30.
Phase two of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s expansion and renovation project began in January, with completion due in 2020. Among the new hotel developments are the rebranding of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino at the luxurious Park MGM Las Vegas, construction of Wynn Paradise Park and the Las Vegas World Resorts. The desert city is becoming a major destination for sports enthusiasts with the addition of teams from major North American leagues such as the Vegas Golden Knights (NHL), Raiders (NFL) and Las Vegas Aces (WNBA) ), as well as the expansion of Nascar races and the already traditional UFC fights.
Uruguay reinforces corporate tourism
Uruguay’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Benjamin Liberoff, will honor WTM Latin America and publish record numbers for tourism in 2017. Bahamas Islands bring their beauties to WTM Latin America 2018
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation will participate in the 6th edition of WTM Latin America. They will also be present at the Bahamas Islands booth, located at the H55 address of the fair, the Nassau Paradise Island Promotional Board and the Atlantis, Sandals and Breezes resorts.
The Islands of the Bahamas offer a place in the sun for all types of tourists and vacation styles. Each island has its own unique personality and attractions, with some of the world’s best dive sites, fishing, sailing, boating, as well as shopping and dining.
Among the attractions, you can swim with the dolphins, as the Bahamas have the largest wild dolphin population in the Western Hemisphere, and enjoy the beautiful beaches and dizzying blue seas.
