Easter in the Serra Gaúcha: more than 100 attractions in two weeks

The program of the largest Easter event in Brazil will be intense and promises to delight more than 150,000 visitors who are expected to arrive in the Serra Gaúcha for one of the most crowded periods of the year and that provokes greater public and child participation: Easter. The streets of Nova Petrópolis / RS are already beginning to receive the decoration of Easter and the colorful of the characters, rabbits, eggs, decorated facades and windows, garlands, sweets and many flowers. The Covered Street of the city turns into a playful world and happens to be called Planet of Delicacies, with fair, characters, toys, chocolates and many attractions throughout the day.

The 20th edition of Chocofest, an event that migrated from Gramado to Nova Petrópolis and joined the Easter Magic event, starts on Thursday evening, March 22 with the Preview of the event at 7:00 pm, which will be presented at Municipal Band of Nova Petrópolis and of the show Teatral School of Dolls. The benefit show and will have food collection that will be delivered to the APAE of the municipality.

On March 23rd, at 6:00 p.m., the Opening Ceremony will take place with the delivery of the key of the municipality to Conde Guloseima, host and main character of the event, who will arrive in Nova Petrópolis with a group of animated characters that will make the party.

Intense scheduling on the first weekend

The first event weekend will feature dozens of giant egg exhibition attractions painted by city plastic artists, street decor by the community, schools and entities, storytelling, chocolate and artistic makeup, train rides, musical and theatrical performances , recycling workshops, recreation space, foodtruck, Conde Guloseima stops and the big attraction: the Chocofest Easter Parade in Easter Magic.

The parade takes place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, March 24 and 25, at 3:30 p.m. and runs along Avenida 15 de Novembro, with floats, music, characters, lots of color and about 100 children and adolescents, volunteers, from the schools of the municipality that will parade characters characterized.

The schedule follows in the second week of the event with all the daily attractions and the Easter holiday will have two more parades. The Holy Week has special religious programming with 40 more actions among masses, services, harvest of the macela, among others.
