Foreign exchange brokers provide rubles for tourists to Russia

Brokers and exchange banks associated with ABRACAM have started offering rubles to tourists who are preparing to travel to Russia to watch the 2018 World Cup matches.

With the launch, tourists have one more option to pay for travel expenses, in addition to traditional international travel cards, prepaid cards in coins and credit cards.

“We do not expect tourists to buy enough rubles for the entire trip, but our goal is to allow them to have enough cash for the first expenses, such as airport transportation, first meals and other minor expenses,” says Wilson Nagem, president of ABRACAM. It is always more comfortable to reach a country with the local currency already in the wallet ??.

The offer of the Russian currency will be made in the units of the main economic centers and in cities with large flow of tourists.

Some ABRACAM members have also started an international transfer service to Russia. With this, you can pay for larger expenses without the use of credit cards, such as longer lodgings and tour packages.

Do you know how to take money abroad?

ABRACAM has developed a special travel guide for Brazilian tourists who embark to international destinations. The Free Exchange Travel Guide, which can be downloaded for free from the ABRACAM website, brings practical planning tips, but the highlight is information on the use of cash and prepaid cards and credit cards. It presents a practical way to estimate travel costs and how to allocate resources among means of payment, considering costs, practicality, and taxes.

With the currency fluctuations that Brazilians are subject to, it is certainly an interesting tool for the tourist.

In addition, the guide provides other information, such as the best times to travel to the main destinations, documents and vaccines needed, such as packing suitably and peculiarities regarding behavior and safety.
