To commemorate, Marriott has drawn up a list of eight special destinations for women travelers that takes into account local safety, cultural immersion, learning opportunities and inspiration.

Montevideo, Uruguay: With an exotic “quê” and hospitality that attracts a large number of travelers, Uruguay is already a popular destination among women traveling alone. Chicago, IL: It’s not difficult to stay busy in Chicago, especially staying in the center of the Magnificent Mile, ideal place to explore the most important attractions and visit the major shops.
