Guest hostels have discount to participate in the harvest of the kiwi

During the weekends of the months of April and May, Varshana guests, in partnership with Chácara Kiwi da Serra, can enjoy a different activity: harvesting the Kiwi and still take home a box of freshly harvested fruit. The activity will work like this: the couple that participates will have 50% of the value subsidized by the inn. Visits to the farmhouse from the Varshana are always on Saturdays at 10am, from April 14 to May 12 (except on 02/05).

The idea is that visitors have access to an activity that is very unusual for those who live in large urban centers, but wants to get a little closer to life in the countryside. Kiwi originates from southern China. However, the world’s largest producer of fruit today is Italy. In Brazil, the fruit was introduced in the 1970s and became popular in the following decades due to its exotic shape, intense taste, vibrant colors and its nutritional properties like vitamin C and vitamin E.
