Hotel reopens its doors after a renovation project with Emilio Pucci

The hotel chain Rocco Forte celebrates the “revival” of the Hotel Savoy with the inauguration of its renovated Florentine Hotel and located in the heart of the city. After 6 months of renovation, the hotel, built 125 years ago, in 1893, officially reopens its doors on April 13, 2018.

The design director, Olga Polizzi, has enhanced the elegance of the Savoy Hotel, using contemporary themes, Renaissance tips and the best craftsmen. So it is not surprising that the world-renowned Florentine fashion house, Emilio Pucci, collaborates on the project, bringing the very essence of Italian design into space. Laudomia Pucci, brand image director, joined Olga Polizzi to create a unique environment.

The partnership begins with Emilio Pucci producing an exclusive scarf for the Roccoforte Hotel Savoy. The architectural decoration of the historic Piazza della Repubblica, in which the hotel was inspired, is redesigned in a typical Pucci style and features features of the Brunelleschi Duomo. The glass table tops are wrapped with unique silk scarves in two variations of pink and turquoise blue – and become the key decorative element of the terrace restaurant where the benches exude warm Italian colors of the Mediterranean.

The hotel entrance and lobby were reinstated to their original grandeur, with a high ceiling and two large new reception tables, representing the four seasons and the “Fleur de lis” – the emblem of the city. The fluid space, almost entirely white, is punctuated with Pucci elements, colorful art and design elements, including paintings by Luca Pignatelli.

Pucci’s touch continues throughout the lobby, where his prints were applied on cushions that decorate the sofas in black and fuchsia, as well as two armchairs that feature brand features in a velvet pattern, blending Renaissance and pop art spirit. The modern and sophisticated look of the hotel lobby is complemented by a carpet with Emilio Pucci’s iconic “Lamborghini” print in nuances of roses, gray, white and black.

“Performing this unique project with Hotel Savoy meant working closely with Olga and it has been wonderful. For the first time in the hotel market and in the history of Emilio Pucci, we translate the creativity that this city inspires uniting the elegance of the Savoy with the vibration and sophistication that is embedded in the Pucci codes and the city of Florence, adding Pucci touches in the lobby and in the area of hotel restaurant, “said Laudomia Pucci.

Glamor takes the lead, with the Pucci facility.
