Skyscanner, the global travel search engine, compared the most sought-after national destinations to the next holiday that will be Independence Day on Sept. 7 this year. According to the survey, Belo Horizonte was the destination that had the largest increase in searches in the comparative 2016/2017 with around 129%. In the ranking of most sought for the period, the mining capital occupies the fifth place. In addition, beach destinations, which are traditionally the darling of Brazilians for short trips, also appeared on the list and recorded growth in searches: Salvador (71%), Fortaleza (30%) and Rio de Janeiro (27%).
