Maritime company announces longer season and comes from two mega ships for summer 2018/2019

The 2018/2019 season of Costa Cruises in South America is set. The shipping company repeats the dose and announces the arrival of the mega vessels Costa Favolosa and Costa Fascinosa. With more than 100,000 tons and capacity to receive 3,800 guests, the two transatlantic boats are scheduled to meet and entertain the region’s public by the end of March 2019.

Costa Favolosa begins regular cruises in South American waters on December 10, 2018 with shipments from the city of Santos. The ship will visit the destinations of Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Angra dos Reis, Ilhabela, Búzios, Balneário Camboriú, as well as the requested locations of Buenos Aires and Montevideo on trips of three to eight nights. The last cruise will be held on March 23, 2018.

The Costa Fascinosa, meanwhile, will make eight and nine-night itineraries through the region of Prata (Buenos Aires and Montevideo), with shipments from Rio de Janeiro.

For the summer 2018/2019, Costa also increases the supply of mini-cruisers aboard the Costa Favolosa. The seven scheduled mini-cruisers will travel to major tourist destinations such as Balneário Camboriú, Ilhabela, Rio de Janeiro and Angra dos Reis. Another tradition maintained by the company is the parade on Copacabana beach on New Year’s Eve for the burning of fires.

A pioneer in offering themed cruises, Costa brings to the 2018/2019 season the well-established Fitness & Wellness and Dance On Board tours. The Costa Favolosa will be the stage for the 25th Fitness & 17th Well-Being, leaving Santos on February 16, 2019 to Buenos Aires and Montevideo. The 16th edition of Dancing on Board departs on March 10 of Santos for visits to Búzios, Salvador and Ilhabela.

Premium Outings – One of the highlights of the 2018/2019 season are the two premium outlets, public success in the current season. The two cruises will take place on board the Costa Fascinosa. The first premium route leaves from Buenos Aires on February 24, 2019, passing through Montevideo, Ilha Grande and Búzios until reaching the city of Rio de Janeiro on March 3, 2019 to disembark.

In the other premium outlet, the guest embarks in Rio de Janeiro on March 3, 2019, visiting the cities of Ubatuba, Ilhabela, Punta Del Este and Buenos Aires, where they will be disembarked on March 10th. With these premium options, the Coast guarantees the traveler freedom to stay at the landing destination as long as he wants.

Inspired by the fantastic universe of a fairy tale, the Costa Favolosa resembles an enchanted castle and works of art reproduce the world’s grand palaces. With capacity for 3,800 passengers, the ship brings together the Samsara Spa wellness center (with gym, thermal baths, swimming pools and thalassotherapy, treatment rooms, sauna, Turkish bath, solarium of UVA rays, cabins and suites); Cinema 4D, Grand Prix simulator, four swimming pools, five restaurants, 13 bars, theater, water slide, casino, sports court and space for children. There are 1,508 cabins in total.

With capacity for 3,800 guests, the Costa Fascinosa reflects the concept of destination ship with numerous attractions and activities on board. Based on the classic films, the transatlantic has 4D cinema, Grand Prix simulator, Samsara Spa, four swimming pools, five restaurants, 13 bars, theater, Squok Club with children’s pool with Peppa Pig theme, water slide and casino.
