National tourism grows in 2017; Find out which are the most searched destinations in the year

The Brazilian tourism market has shown good numbers in 2017. According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the sector grew 5.3% in June, the third consecutive month of growth. The data are in line with the latest survey by the Brazilian Association of Airline Companies (ABEAR), which shows that in July of this year, there was a growth of 3.83% in the search for domestic flights and 4.43% in the volume of passengers transported , compared to the same period last year.

According to Gustavo Mariotto, marketing manager of the online tourism agency, ViajaNet, the year 2017 has been favorable to national tourism. “Some factors, such as the resumption of business tourism as well as the increase in holidays this year have contributed to the increase in the search for domestic destinations,” he says. “In addition, dollar-swings were positive in the aviation industry. That’s because even in times of high American currency the traveler gained, as airlines have had to increase the number of promotions to compensate for the fall in demand, ends Mariotto.

Thinking about this market, the online travel agency, ViajaNet, surveyed the 10 most wanted Brazilian cities in 2017, as well as calculating the average prices of these destinations throughout the 12 months of the year. Look:
