Qatar Airways will debut its flight to Rio de Janeiro on January 28, 2018, according to Aeroin. The company has requested the reservation of slots to operate the route that departs from Doha, the capital of Qatar, stops in the capital of Rio de Janeiro and lands permanently in Santiago, Chile.

For the route, announced in 2016, will be used Airbus 350-900, one of the most modern models of commercial aviation worldwide. The QR 775 flight will land in Rio de Janeiro at 16:55 on Sunday and will depart for the Chilean capital at 18:15. Conversely, from Santiago on the second (29) the QR 776 will land at 4:30 p.m., then fly to Qatar at 5:45 p.m.

Doha arrivals and departures to Santiago will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. On the contrary, the returns from Chile will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The only unconfirmed times to date are landing and takeoff in Chile and Qatar.

It is worth remembering that Renato Hagopian, general manager of Qatar in Brazil, stated that the flight to Rio de Janeiro could receive the new Qsuite business class, summarized as personalization, luxury and comfort to spare. The city of São Paulo, which combines the service with Buenos Aires, is already confirmed for 2018.
