Ship takes unprecedented scale in Balneário Camboriú

The Costa Favolosa ship, of Costa Cruises, docked for the first time in the city of Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, last Tuesday, January 30. The 2017/2018 season is special to the destination that makes its debut as a stopover point for cruises in South America.

During the first stop of the Costa Favolosa in Balneário Camboriú, municipal authorities and the board of Costa Cruises participated in the traditional exchange of plates. The owner of the Pier, Julio Tedesco; the mayor of the city of Balneário Camboriú, Fabrício Oliveira and the deputy mayor, Carlos Alberto Silva, presented a plaque wishing to welcome the ship.

The director of Costa Cruises for South America, René Hermann and the commander of the ship Costa Favolosa, Carmine Maddaloni, returned the homage with a plaque in thanks to the receptivity.

The Costa Favolosa returns to Balneário Camboriú for two new scales: today (4) and on Wednesday (7). The destination integrates the routes of the minicruzeiros of the Coast by the Brazilian coast.

“We were very honored by the receptivity of Balneário Camboriú. Our objective is to gradually increase the scale of the Coast’s ships at the destination. This is an important opportunity for our Brazilian guests to explore tourism more and more in their own country, “says Renê Hermann, Costa Cruises’ general director for South America.
