Singles prefer national travel destinations

On August 15 was celebrated the Day of the Bachelor and, using the data of the IBGE – Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics – which accounts for the universe of single people totaling 77 million Brazilians, the Submarino unveils this niche Travelers. The number that exceeds the group that has married marital status (in Brazil total 56 million) encourages the evaluation of travel habits. According to the survey of the Submarine, singles like freedom, but cherish accommodation that facilitates the conviviality.

In terms of destination preferences, singles match the tastes. Of the 10 destinations preferred by this public, 8 of them are within Brazil and, coincidentally, are all capitals of their States:. Orlando, in the United States, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, lead the way when it comes to traveling abroad.

With an eye on this public, which according to SPC Brasil’s recent research has the item “travel” as one of the three main dreams of consumption, Submarino Viagens – which has a partnership with more than 750 airlines and more than 200 thousand hotels throughout the world World – has taken action to attract more access from this passenger. It simplified navigation through its platform and diversified product portfolio, now with the inclusion of hostels in Brazil and abroad, to attract, even more, those who travel alone.

“We started to offer lodging options even in hostels, since it is a type of accommodation that captivates this public, as a way to broaden social interactions and make new friendships during travels,” says Submarino’s marketing manager, André Gavioli.

Frequency – Another peculiarity perceived by the agency is the frequency of travel. While families travel on average once a year during school holidays (July or January), singles travel at least twice a year – most of them boarding alone. Approximately 67% of bookings made on the site correspond to individual bookings and the remainder (33%) to travel with companions.

It has a partnership with more than 750 airlines and more than 200 thousand hotels worldwide.
