Social Tourism Program carries out excursions to the South region

On March 20th, starting at 3:00 p.m., Sesc São Caetano opens the registrations for excursions and tours of the program of “Social Tourism”, which has been developing since 1948 a wide experience of tourism committed to social sustainability in a political and educational concept that comes the democratization and diffusion of socio-cultural assets and patrimonies.

In this opening, excursions and tours with itineraries for the month of May, with accessible values ​​that vary according to the category of the enrollment, and free for the general public.

All the itineraries have Sesc São Caetano exit, in standard tour bus, on board service and guide accompaniment accredited by the Ministry of Tourism.

Immigration and nature: interior and coastline – Blumenal – 15 a 20/05

Beautiful flowery gardens, half-timbered houses, artisanal breweries and wineries, as well as the spice of past traditions from generation to generation are some of the elements that delight visitors to Blumenau. The itinerary also includes walks through the cities of Pomerode, Brusque, Nova Trento and some cities that make up the Valley of Trentinos, such as Ascurra, Rodeio and Timbó.

Jesuit Missions – Guarani – 05/22 to 01/06

In the service of a project of Christianization of indigenous peoples, the Jesuit priests arrived in the region of the Prata Basin (area where today Brazil borders Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) in the 17th century, founded the first Jesuit-Guarani missions, in 30 villages over 150 years, thousands of catechized Indians. In one of the most important chapters in the history of Latin America, they combined in a unique cultural experience the communal way of life of the Guarani, to the European technical innovations, and gave rise to a cultural inheritance whose presence reaches us today through the remnants registered in 1983 as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, but also by means of the barbecue, the chimarrão, the “tche” and the genetic inheritance of the people of the region.

In this itinerary are the missionary archaeological sites of São Miguel das Missões (RS), Trinidad (in the Paraguayan city of Encarnación) and San Ignácio Miní (in Posadas, Argentina), besides the cities of Santo Ângelo (RS), Treze Tílias (SC) and Porto Alegre (RS).

It includes half board, accommodation at the Hotel Tirol, in Treze Tílias (SC), Santo Ângelo Turis Hotel in Santo Ângelo (RS), Hotel Júlio César (or similar) in Posadas (ARG), Hotel Ritter in Porto Alegre (RS) ), and Alven Palace Hotel in Joinville (SC).
