During the opening of the event will be the official launch of the stamp of the Post Office commemorating the Day of Tourism, highlighting Brazilian destinations.

PRESS COLLECTIVE: on 27th, at 2:30 p.m. – On this occasion, the president of ABAV Nacional, Edmar Bull, and the president of Braztoa, Magda Nassar, will make an update on the figures of this year’s edition, and will affect the results of the sales movement of the sector in the first half and the projections for the season. At the time, the first results of the Big DATA ABAV Census will be presented, based on the survey done with associated travel agencies.

We have separated some highlights from the 45th ABAV Expo, the largest and most important business fair of the calendar of events of Tourism of Brazil, which will take place from September 27 to 29 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.

FAIR SPACES

  • Vila do Saber and ABAV Congress of Tourism – Largest forum for training and debates on tourism in the Americas, divided into six arenas: Management, Innovation, Segmentation and Technology and two destined to Round Tables and Products and Destinations, totaling 75 presentations.   • 48th Braztoa Business Meeting – A pole of business, opportunities and trends in the sector, with the presence of 42 of the largest tour operators in Brazil.
  • Abracorp Corporate Island – 16 exhibitors, among the main suppliers of products and services focused on the corporate travel segment, which moves close to R $ 80 billion per year with the operation and sale of business trips
  • Futurism – A great area of ​​innovation for ABAV Expo 2017, where two events will take place simultaneously: Hackathon Viagens will bring together programmers, developers, web designers and communicators in a programming marathon to develop innovative projects and applications for the Tourism industry; and the Intelligent Tourism Innovation Challenge, a competition between entrepreneurs and startups selected by Braztoa and Sebrae throughout Brazil, aimed at transforming projects into commercial solutions for the tourism sector. Winning projects will be awarded during the fair.
  • Luxury Tourism Lounge ABAV / Group Radar & TV / D & D by Jóia Bergamo – Designed in partnership with the Radar Group, to present in a fun way the new trends of the sector in an atmosphere that will provide interaction, experiences and business opportunities. DOM Creative Collection will present its high standard hotels located in countries like United States, France, Greece and Peru. In Brazil, the brand represents the Kenoa Resort & Spa (Barra de São Miguel / AL) and the Tutabel (Trancoso / BA), Literária (Paraty / RJ) and Maria Bonita (Fernando de Noronha / PE) of the actors Bruno Gagliasso and Giovanna Ewbank, and that also takes the signature Jewel Bergamo. Destinations such as Monaco, Riviera Nayarit, Puerto Vallarta and Lucerne, as well as the Burgenstock Resort, Executive Aviation Leader, and Mobility will also be highlighted in space.
  • Specialized Tourism – exclusive space for exhibition and round of business companies and players with expertise in LGBT tourism, Sport Fishing and Ecotourism and Adventure.

HOTELS AND RESORTS

ABR – Brazilian Association of Resorts

It will promote on the first day of the ABAV Expo, at 5:00 pm, at its booth, a chat with important players of tourism and Brazilian hospitality with the theme “Transformation of the Hotel Market: Now is the Time of the Resorts?”. The aim is to clarify innovative ways of investing, communicating and distributing sales in a new technological and behavioral scenario of travelers. Gabriela Otto, director of HSMAI Brazil, Ricardo Mader, director of JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, and Peter Kutuchian, publisher of the Hôtelier News portal, Luigi Rotunno, president of the organization, will conduct the chat. ABR will be present at ABAV Expo 2017 with 21 of the 50 associated resorts on its shared booth. (G 073)

BHG (Brazil Hospitality Group)

The hotel chain BHG (Brazil Hospitality Group) presents the new visual identity and concept of the brand Golden Tulip, one of the flags that is part of its portfolio. Specially thought of in the public that combines travel to work with pleasure – the concept of business + leisure, the 190 units of the brand throughout the world will undergo changes and will have more creative, modern design, offering hubs and social interaction, all focused on the Millennial generation , formed by young people from 16 to 35 years old, according to BHG, the predominant group in their hotels. Bourbon Hotels & Resorts

Bourbon Hotels & Resorts will have news: the new convention center of Bourbon Atibaia Convention & Spa Resort, with more than 9 thousand square meters and capacity for 1,620 people, and Fun Place, attraction for children and adolescents. Another issue on the agenda will be the evolution of the Rio Hotel by Bourbon brand. The units Rio Hotel by Bourbon Curitiba Airport, Rio Hotel by Bourbon Curitiba Batel and, most recently, in Ciudad del Este, inaugurated in June, they started an innovative and differentiated brand.

Holiday Inn Resort Phuket in Patong

The Casa Grande Hotel Resort & Spa presents packages for upcoming holidays, including the Carnival of 2018. Highlights for the year-end parties, which include a special menu for Christmas dinner with the right to Christmas music, DJ, Dad’s arrival Noel, games and games for children and adults. For New Year’s Eve, the hotel offers the traditional Fire Show, as well as concerts with singers Wesley Safadão & Anita and DJ Fatboy Slim & Alok, which will set the tone for the excitement of 2018’s arrival.

County Kildare

Costa do Sauípe will be present at the Resorts Brasil booth and one of the highlights of the destination is to reinforce its structure and know-how for events, betting on the recovery of the MICE segment of the hotel market. Sauipe has a diversified portfolio and has already been the scene of great celebrations, such as the Final Draw of the World Cup Brazil, IDB Annual Meeting, medical congresses, international forums, surfing stages, shows, among others. The destination will also present its packages and news for the end of the year.

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts participates for the 11th consecutive year of ABAV and will be represented by national and international network executives, who will discuss the Group’s novelties and expectations for the coming months, as well as comment on the accomplishments of that year. Among the subjects that will be presented, there is also the Star Prestige, a service that brings together a series of benefits and comfort for the guest, the programming for the Tropical New Year’s Eve of the IBEROSTAR Praia do Forte Complex, the new IBEROSTAR App, -concierge, schedule resort restaurants, access the map and activity plan of the hotel, among other two novelties that will be revealed at the time. The professionals will take advantage of the fair to do business, review the partners and create opportunities for IBEROSTAR. (J 099B)

Rede Vila Galé

In contrast to the crisis, Vila Galé, a Portuguese network that owns four resorts and three corporate hotels in Brazil, is investing around R $ 170 million in the country. Most of the contribution will be destined to the construction of Vila Galé Touros, in Rio Grande do Norte, scheduled to open in September 2018. Another novelty is the new products of the Vila Galé network. Beginning in November, the Fortaleza unit will offer the country’s first all inclusive gourmet; and Vila Galé Rio de Janeiro offers the all inclusive cultural package, which entitles you to tickets to the main attractions of the capital of Rio. Royal Palm Hotels & Resorts

This year the Royal Palm Hotels & Resorts group completes 20 years of service and launches the Royal Palm Hall, set to be the country’s largest ballromm with 44,000 square meters of built area. The project is under construction and is expected to be delivered in June 2018. With the help of magnified glasses, the public of ABAV Expo will be able to know the project. (Street D079)

CRUISERS

MSC Cruises

Among the main focus of MSC Cruises will be its 40% increase in domestic supply, with the arrival of three ships: MSC Preziosa, the largest to navigate the country; MSC Magnifica; and MSC Musica, which will be dedicated to the exits of Rio de Janeiro. The two new destinations of the MSC Preziosa portfolio will also be presented: Balneário Camboriú and Porto Belo; and the possibility of acquiring the cruise with the aerial sections from 12 squares, especially for the embarkations in the wonderful city. In addition, the shipowner will highlight its unprecedented 9 billion euro expansion plan, through which it will open 11 new revolutionary three-generation vessels (Meraviglia, Seaside and World Class) by 2026. The first – MSC Meraviglia – started operating in June this year; the second – MSC Seaside, will be presented in December in Miami; and MSC Seaview, the twin brother of Seaside, will be operational in May 2018 and will come to Brazil in the 2018/2019 season. The main launch of the Abreu agency will be the European excursions campaign for 2018/19. The dates and prices of the company will be exposed along with a preview of all the destinations that it executes. ANBTR

The National Total Brazil Receptive Association, ANBTR, brings together specialized companies in the Tourism segment. The company will launch the campaign “Our specialty is to realize dreams”, that will promote scheduling of capacitations in tour operators and agencies. The program also includes new tourist and experience itineraries, in addition to the Portal Brasil Total, a facilitator in the reservations of the services. Bancorbrás

Bancorbrás, a Brazilian company with more than 30 years of experience in the tourism market, will be present at the 45th edition of ABAV Expo and will present novelties from the Tourism Club and Bancorbrás Tourism Operator. During the event, the visitors of the stand will be able to know the differentials of the Bancorbrás Tourism Club: present in all regions of the country, offering the best, most practical, economic and safe in terms of lodging and national and international travel. At the occasion, the 22nd edition of the Bancorbrás Meeting of the Largest Age and the partnerships already signed by the Tour Operator with major players of the sector will be announced. E-HTL Online Travel

The website of E-HTL Viagens Online is a new face and the broker waited for ABAV 2017 to announce the news. With new visual identity, features and facilities, the home of the website has gained the addition of direct integrations and new searches. The highlight of the new portal is the new car rental area right on the homepage, with nine integrations, among them the search for suppliers and nearby stores. In addition, E-HTL Viagens Online also presents new national and international products, aiming to further promote tourism in and outside Brazil. This year, the broker is also preparing for the 2018 leisure time to be stronger among the company’s offerings. Flytour Travel

Flytour Viagens will present several national and international products, among them Rota Flytour, the operator’s new product for a car travel experience in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as rental houses in Orlando. The Spanish technology provider for tourism, presents its tool, the Juniper Booking Engine. This is a solution developed for DMCs (Destination Management Company), Tour Operators, wholesalers, hotel operators and OTAs (Online Travel Agency). The solution can include different modules, such as Accommodation, Flights, Packages, Services, Automobiles, Cruises, etc. The company’s portfolio includes more than 300 XML integrations with tourism product providers. Moved

The main highlight of Movida Car Rental at ABAV 2017 is the presentation of its new brand, Movida Premium. In August, Movida announced the purchase of Fleet Services, specializing in corporate leasing of luxury vehicles such as Audi, BMW, Mini, Jaguar, Land Rover and Porsche. With this operation, the company guaranteed the exclusivity, for five years, of offering cars for rent within all current and future concessionaires of the EuroBike Network in the country. According to Renato Franklin, CEO of Movida, the market is increasingly divided into niches and, thus, the network establishes the bases for the performance in one of them. Other examples of this search for personalization are the Movida Express, which mainly serves executives, Mercedes Vito in the fleet, for families and groups, opening stores in places such as the bus stations, attracting those who previously did not usually consider leasing, and Movida Mensal Flex , for those who need a car every day. Travelport

Travelport – a travel trade platform that provides distribution, technology and payment solutions for the tourism industry – will offer special incentive to travel agents visiting the fair. As part of the benefits, the company will guarantee agents to visit their booth and acquire the MyPNR (online booking tool, which offers the possibility of working with their favorite commands through a graphical and intuitive interface) an incentive of R $ 3, 00 for each international reserved segment. Specializing in fleet management and vehicle leasing solutions, it presents its new acquisitions for the Rent a Car fleet: Fiat Toro (1.8 16V AT6 Flex) – which will be on display at the company’s booth on the days of the event – and the Fiat Mobi (Drive 1.0 Flex). Beto Carrero World

Beto Carrero World presents the 2018/19 Tariff and reinforces the World Agent communication channel. The site is aimed at travel agents, so they are always aware of the park’s new features and have relevant information available on one of the main attractions in Santa Catarina. Campinas

One of the main destinations for business tourism and events in Brazil, Campinas has also been promoting adventure tourism. Within this segment, a special attention to cyclotourism, which has gained a modern signage for those who frequent the trails of the districts of Sousas and Joaquim Egídio in Campinas. The excerpts received information boards, including QR Code and various useful information for visitors. The signpost is spread over 250 kilometers of trails that are in Campinas and lead to five other municipalities in the region: Amparo, Jaguariúna, Pedreira, Morungaba and Itatiba. Porto de Galinhas Convention & Visitors Bureau and Hotels Association of Porto de Galinhas

The presence of international operators will be one of the main focuses of the tourism executives of Porto de Galinhas. Uruguay highlights extension of benefits to foreign tourists

Deputy Minister of Tourism of Uruguay, Benjamin Liberoff, confirms presence at the 45th ABAV Expo. The country will present to the public of the fair the continuity of the tourism program for benefits, extended until April 2018. It reinforces Punta Del Este as a summer destination and a large corporate tourism receiving center, mainly of events and announces new destinations that have fallen in popular taste and has been receiving more and more tourists like Carmelo, Colonia del Sacramento and Cabo Polonio. The goal of the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism is to reach 1 million Brazilian tourists by 2020.

Mato Grosso do Sul

The Mato Grosso do Sul Tourism Foundation (Fundtur-MS) prepared a daily agenda of actions to strengthen tourism, with launches, cultural activities, interactivity with the public and gastronomy. Among the main actions is the launch of the new state tourism marketing campaign titled “Visit MS” and the new promotional website for the destinations of Mato Grosso do Sul. (Rua A 089)
