With dollar on the rise, Brazilian tourism is expected to grow 15% during the winter

The winter that started last month has been a good call to take that hot chocolate to warm up, take the heavier jackets out of the closet, and of course put foot on the road, since winter also coincides with a few weeks of school holidays .

But what for many is the best season of the year, for others it is an unpleasant season.

Henrique Mol, executive director of the Find Your Trip franchise, explains that today there are two types of profiles. “Normally Brazilians who live in cold places want to go to the beaches and from the hotter to the colder places. This is a matter of climatic difference that is accustomed, making the experience pleasant on the trip, “says the businessman. “The rise of the dollar registered in the last month generated an increase in demand for domestic flights, which show greater savings in July this year, compared to the same period of 2016,” he emphasizes.

For those who love a low temperature, the busiest destinations in this station is the stunning city of Campos do Jordão. The most romantic city in the state of São Paulo is well disputed during the winter. Besides the charming typical Swiss architecture that gives the ‘ares of a little town of Europe’, and that every couple loves, the destination is also the stage of the Winter Festival, with great options with cultural and musical programs.

However, demand is also increasing in the South of Minas Gerais, more precisely in Monte Verde. The city is surrounded by the mountains of the Serra da Mantiqueira and is more than 1,600 meters high. The charm of the local architecture, the nature, the tourist structure and the gastronomy stimulate the tourist demand. Monte Verde has beautiful European-style houses, hills, pebbles, peaks, more than 140 hotels and inns, and countless restaurants that delight both the simplicity of the food of Minas Gerais and the sophisticated fondue or exotic wild boar dishes created in the region.

The businessman also points out that another destination that is very sought after by tourists from Find your Trip is the Serras Gaúchas. The place is charming, because it has the face of Europe, due to the breathtaking landscapes, rich cuisine, lots of wine and of course, that typical cold of the mountains, with the right to snow from time to time. Formed by dozens of municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, the Serra Gaúcha has two main tourist centers: in the Region of Hydrangeas are Gramado, Canela and Nova Petrópolis. In Vale dos Vinhedos, there are Bento Gonçalves, Garibaldi and Carlos Barbosa. Next to each other, separated by about an hour and a half by car, it is possible to know these two regions in a few days of travel.

Leave the jacket at home!

How about changing the scenery of your July vacation and instead of traveling to cold destinations, enjoy the Brazilian heat, under a lot of sun. Yes, many Brazilians because they are accustomed to the dry and hot climate in most of the country, still prefer even in winter to enjoy a beach, and places that the temperature is above 30 degrees.

Henrique Mol says that the Northeast is the ideal destination and the most sought after for those who are looking for it all. The beaches of dock, Rio Grande do Norte and Bahia are the highlight, as in the summer, they continue to receive millions of tourists at this time of year, and it is a great tip for those who want to make the winter go away.

“The beaches of the Northeast are the most beautiful in Brazil, it is worth mentioning the typical cuisine and cultural diversity of this region that enchants all tourists, even by those who do not like to enter the sea,” says the businessman.

Sector in high

The year 2017 promises to be much better than 2016, especially for Brazilian tourism. Since the beginning of this year, the sector has recorded an increase in sales per demand for tickets. Although still feeling the effects of the macroeconomic scenario, the Brazilian franchise market begins to show the first signs of recovery. In the first quarter of this year, the industry’s revenue grew 9.4% nominally compared to the same period in 2016. Sales rose from R $ 33.710 billion to R $ 36.890 billion, according to the latest data released by ABF (Brazilian Franchising Association ).

Henrique attributes this increase to reducing household indebtedness. “We believe in the prospect of growth in the economy by the consumer. Last year we saw an uncertainty in the economy without signs of improvement and this reflected directly on the consumer, where he sought to save as much as possible, cutting some expenses such as travel, “he says.

For travel only during the winter, between May and August, when temperatures are very mild in the Southeast, Midwest and South, the Find Your Trip franchise is expected to earn 15% more than it won in 2016.
