Airline introduces new onboard toys for children’s entertainment

Turkish Airlines, which has the most comprehensive network in the world in terms of countries and international destinations reached, continues to enhance the travel experience for its customers, focused on their award-winning environmental policies.

From January, the airline will completely renovate its collection of onboard toys produced with all-natural materials. This initiative is aligned with the reduction of the use of plastic in the environment. It is worth noting that Turkish Airlines is committed to ensuring that all operational aspects of its business are consistent with its goal of sustainable development and environmentally friendly operations.

New toys, especially developed for Turkish Airlines, give travelers ages 3 to 12 more entertainment while on board. This collection also features endangered species. Through fun, the company, in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund of Turkey, hopes to promote the importance of animal protection among children – those who will inherit the world and will be responsible for their care.

Plush toys are made of cotton and the pieces of wood are manufactured in accordance with the rules of sustainability established by the Forest Stewardship Council (an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization created to promote responsible forest management around the world) .

By adopting environmentally friendly products and packaging, Turkish Airlines continues to innovate. In this case, the global operator has worked with the toy industry to develop items that promote sustainability, while engaging wildlife awareness for the younger generation.
