Airline reaches 5.1 million passengers transported in February

Turkish Airlines reported results for the month of February 2018:

The company achieved the highest load factor in February with 79.7%. The total occupancy rate (TLF) increased by 6.4 points, reaching 79.7%, with a 14% increase in available seats per kilometer (ASK). Already the international occupation rate (LF) increased by 6.6 points, reaching 79.1%;

– Two-digit growth in demand (revenue per kilometer) started in July 2017, maintaining the pace in February 2018, with 24%;

– Excluding passengers on international transfers (passengers in transit), the number of international travelers rose 27%;

– The volume of cargo / mail increased 39.4% compared to February 2017. The main responsible for this growth were the Middle East, with a 61% increase, North America with 52% and Europe with 39%;

– The LF increased in all regions: North America (11.1 points), Africa (9.9 points), Europe (6.3 points), and Domestic Lines (4.9 points) ).

Traffic Results Evaluation for January – February 2018

– The increase in demand was 27% and the total number of passengers 31% compared to the same period last year. The total number of passengers reached 10.8 million;

– The Total Load Factor increased by 6.9 points to 79.7%. The international load factor (International Load Factor) increased by 7.1% to 78.8%;

– Cargo / mail volume increased by 44% and reached 195 thousand tons due to the large freight / mail withdrawal in February 2018.
